The duo, who live in Westgate-on-Sea, hold the record at nine straight victories in the shield coxless pairs and looked to extend their record unprecedented tenth straight win.

Cool 2 B-Fit for Folkestone youngsters

DESCRIPTION: Problems with childhood obesity are frequently reported, with TV and computer games often blamed. To be able to get kids to keep fit while they are playiing electronic games would be fantastic. Folkestone youngsters can do that now thanks to a tailor-made gym for kids. Folkestone Community Sports Centre began raising funds for the 'Cool 2 B-Fit' campaign with a grant from KCC and then won a grant from the Big Lottery People's Millions, and now the plans for the junior gym and toboggan slope have come to life.
