Dickens World - more than just a fun day out

DESCRIPTION: Presenter Julie Maddocks visits Dickens World at the Historic Dockyard, Chatham. The attraction, which opened in May 2007, enables visitors to step back in time to the streets of Victorian England. More than just a fun day out, the attraction caters for events, parties and has regular comedy nights and plays. A great educational experience too, Dickens World provides teaching packs and learning materials, catering for Keys Stages 2 and 4.
